Subject: 6 Mom, Grandma, GeGe, Aunt, Friend



Our situation hasn't changed much. Mom has had several visitors, beautiful flowers and tasty treats. What Mom can't eat, Jack and I have been able to help with. Mom remains the rock. Has very little appetite, tires very quickly and therefore sleeps alot. Fortunately Hospice has been able to provide the drugs to keep the pain under control. I repeat, Hospice is an outstanding organization. I'm so glad that Medicare does not fight them on providing ongoing and excellent service. Currently they provide us with all we have asked for including some emergency shipments of pain meds when needed. This Thursday Kendra and Chris will be here from Denver and Holly's husband Rob will be here on Friday. That will mean that all her grand children and there families here for a long weekend. She is looking forward to it and so are each of my children. Today, Jack wheeled Mom back to the house to watch the grandkids in the pool. She stayed about 30 minutes. After supper we all went up on her patio and had Ice Cream cones. Grandma did not have any but was able to enjoy watching. She is ready for bed now. She still has to set her alarm and takes a pain pill every 4 hours around the clock. You cannot let the pain get ahead of you. Playing catchup is tough. Good night to all. I'm getting ready for bed.
