Mom is getting weaker as time goes on. On Tuesday, June 12 she got down on her knees to get something in a kitchen cabinet. she could not get back up. After several minutes of struggling she did make it to her feet. Exhuasted, trembling and tired she did make it to her feet. After a short time she caught her breath and was able to get to a seat. Although she is on anti nausea medication, it seems she still gets sick a couple times a day. She has to eat or drink very slowly and not very large quantities. Mom is doing as much as she can for herself but that is not a lot. Her muscles seem to be just falling away. There is nothing that Jack won't do. He is a wonderful son and brother. Yesterday, Floyd Powell bought mom 3 DVD's of prior church services. We can't seem to stream without continual buffering hesitations so this will make mom happy. With all the fruit and cookies that friends bring I am always curious as to what treat I will be able to help mom with. People are Good! Mom regularly comments "I didn't know I had so many friends" Today the Hospice nurse will be coming. I've finally got this dressing changing down to a science. It really goes fast now. I wish there was something else to control the nausea but there does not appear to be anything. Tomorrow Kendra and Chris will be here from Denver. All of Mom's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will be here. Mom is looking so much forward to visiting with everyone. Love is a beautiful thing.
