We Celebrated Moms 89th Birthday the first time when all her grandkids and their families were here about 2 weeks ago. We are going to celebrate again this Wednesday evening. Mom will actually be 89 on Thursday. Sweets don't really appeal so Amanda will make some Tapioca pudding. Mom thinks that sounds pretty good now. Hopefully it will still sound good. It now seems that mom gets sick almost every day. Fortunately its not for long but it still does happen. Saturday morning Mel Eisele stopped to pay a visit. He was my roommate my freshman year in college. Its been over 45 years since we've seen each other. It was an enjoyable visit that mom really enjoyed. Mom had a little to eat and took a nap when he left. Saturday afternoon we watched church. It would be nice if we could stream the service from Sabbath Grace Fellowship but our connection is just too slow so we watch a DVD. Jack does almost everything for Mom. He is great. Sunday morning, mom got messed up on her meds and felt pretty lousy for several hours. Sunday afternoon my cousin, Moms niece came up from Boca to visit mom. Mom was feeling better. We had a great time. This morning mom weighed in at a little under 100 lbs. It sure is easy to lose weight when you are sick and can't eat. Its hard watching another human being, some one I love so much wasting away. As usual, mom just keeps smiling and being an inspiration. No complaints. On a scale of 1 to 10 tries to keep the pain under a 3. The Hospice nurse will be here on Wednesday. We will be checking on a few things at that time. Thank you all for your kind thoughts, comments and prayers.
